Sphere’s expertise in the enteric coating of soft gel capsules is a particular highlight. Only a small, elite group of high technology international manufacturers can lay claim to this capability. Enteric coated products can provide improved therapeutic delivery by delaying dissolution of the active until it passed from the stomach into the lower gastrointestinal tract (GIT).

The majority of coating solutions used are aqueous only, reflecting a policy of avoiding organic solvents. Sphere can modify coating solutions to include nearly any colour required (including natural colours) and is able to utilise a variety of fragrance options for pleasant organoleptic results.
