This modern proprietary system recognises that the optimal extraction temperature varies as each herb differs in its sensitivity to heat. For most herbs, warming the extraction menstruum to a specific temperature optimises the strength of the extract without compromising the quality of any specific constituent.

To provide further quality assurance, Sphere’s analytical resources test each batch prior to extraction, at various stages during extraction, and as a finished product.

Herb batches are subjected to a range of tests that include organoleptic testing (involves inspection through visual examination, feeling and smelling of products), microbial analysis as well as the identification of total solids, specific gravity, ethanol content and pH.

Our quality control processes ensure that both the identity and level of phytochemical constituents match that of verified master samples and have not been subjected to adulteration or substitution.
